A dental bridge is a fixed (non- removable) cemented appliance. It is an excellent way to replace a missing tooth or multiple teeth. The "traditional bridge" is usually made of porcelain with an underlying metal framwork.

The process of creating a bridge begins by re-contouring your adjacent teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth; this is to provide a base for the bridge. Then an impression is taken of the area which was re-contoured and is sent to the dental laboratory. Dr. Glasscock will make a temporary bridge that will be placed in for two weeks until your permanent bridg returns from the lab. At the second visit, Dr. Glasscock will align, adjust and cement your permanent bridge.
